PUBLIC SPEAKING
LEADER
MUN UWC (Model United Nations)
At UWC Robert Bosch College, where students from different cultures and backgrounds come together, I discovered that meaningful dialogue begins not with speaking, but with listening. As President of MUN UWC, I lead a team of 15+ students from over 10 countries, creating a space where diverse perspectives meet through debate, diplomacy, and collaboration. Through regular mock conferences, I encourage members to challenge assumptions, defend their ideas, and understand global issues beyond their own experiences.
One of my most meaningful experiences was organizing our four-day MUN Day, bringing together 50+ delegates across seven committees. As Head Chair of ECOSOC, I facilitated discussions on the humanitarian and economic implications of sanctions against Cuba, guiding delegates through competing perspectives and potential solutions. These experiences have reshaped my understanding of leadership and public speaking: the goal is not simply to make my voice heard, but to help others find theirs.

BEST DELEGATE
YSV MUN
Representing the United States in the United Nations Human Rights Council at YSV Model United Nations, I explored the challenges of protecting journalists and press personnel working in active conflict zones. Through diplomatic debate and policy discussions, I learned to approach complex humanitarian issues from different perspectives, balancing national interests with the importance of human rights and press freedom.
Receiving the Best Delegate Award was a meaningful recognition of my efforts, but the experience offered something more valuable: a deeper understanding of how dialogue, critical thinking, and effective communication can contribute to addressing global challenges. It reminded me that public speaking is not simply about defending a position, but about giving important issues the attention they deserve.

HEAD OF ACADEMICS
My journey in debate taught me that a strong argument is not simply about winning, but about questioning assumptions, understanding different perspectives, and expressing ideas with clarity. As Head of Academics at CNN Puzzles, the first and only debate club at Foreign Language Specialized School, I developed a structured curriculum and led training sessions to help students strengthen their reasoning, confidence, and public speaking skills.
Beyond the classroom, I had the opportunity to serve as an adjudicator at major debate tournaments, including the Hanoi Debate Tournament and the National Schools Debating Championship. Listening to different arguments and providing constructive feedback helped me see debate from a new perspective. I learned that the most meaningful part of public speaking is not always being the person behind the microphone, but sometimes being the one who helps others discover the power of their own voices.

YOUNG REPORTER
Elementary School Reporter
Joining "Phong vien cap 1" (Elementary School Reporter), a television program produced by Vietnam's national broadcaster, Vietnam Television (VTV), took me on an unforgettable journey into the mountainous communities of Northwest Vietnam. Together with a group of young friends, I experienced daily life away from home, learning to live independently, share responsibilities, and adapt to unfamiliar surroundings. Exploring the region's landscapes, local traditions, and communities opened my eyes to different ways of living and the beauty of cultural diversity.
Beyond our adventures, the program encouraged us to share our own perspectives on family, friendship, and everyday life. Through conversations, reflections, and shared experiences, I discovered how much we could learn from both the people we met and one another. It was a journey that nurtured my curiosity, independence, and appreciation for the connections that bring people together.
